Luke Shaw was spotted walking gingerly out of Old Trafford on Saturday night, prompting concerns from supporters.
The 31-year-old is currently the only out-and-out senior left-back in the squad, with full-back-turned-winger Patrick Dorgu overseeing a period on the sidelines after sustaining an injury on international duty.

Noussair Mazraoui, who ranks behind Dorgu in the pecking order to deputise for Shaw, also suffered a knock while in action for Morocco.
As a result, if Shaw is actually unavailable for any games, Michael Carrick may have to call upon youngster Harry Amass.
Manchester United are next in action tomorrow evening, when they take on Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano.
Carrick did not offer a definitive return date for Dorgu or Mazraoui. However, for the former, he did suggest that the Dane would be out for ‘a number of weeks’, which is far from ideal, given the number of fixtures United have in store this month.
Yet another dismal start for United

Having claimed just six points from their opening six Premier League matches, United have officially registered their worst start in 40 years.
It means that Carrick, who signed a two-year deal to be the club’s permanent head coach back in May, is already being tipped for a premature exit from the hot seat in M16.
That being said, it really begs the question as to where INEOS would even turn if they did decide to cut ties with the former Red, as the managerial free agent market leaves much to be desired at this stage of the campaign.
After Tuesday’s European encounter in the Spanish capital, Carrick’s men make the short trip to Yorkshire to lock horns with arch-rivals Leeds United on Sunday (2pm).
