Liverpool have released Forever in our Hearts, a new biography celebrating the life and legacy of Diogo Jota, with all of the club's profits funding a grassroots football programme to be established in his name.
Every purchase supports the LFC Foundation, according to the club. The book, published by Reach Sport, is available now from official LFC stores and online.
It has been written by Portuguese author and former professional footballer José Delgado, and traces Jota's journey from his early years in Portugal to becoming aPremier League star and firm Anfield favourite.
Delgado drew on extensive interviews with family members, friends, teammates and coaches. Contributors include Jota's wife Rute, his parents Isabel and Joaquim, former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp and more than 90 others who knew him best.
"This book began as an opportunity to help preserve Diogo's memory at a moment of profound sadness. My commitment throughout was to tell his story with care, honesty and respect for Diogo, André, and the family and friends who loved them."
- José Delgado
The biography follows Jota through a period that culminated inPremier League success with Liverpool and UEFA Nations League glory with Portugal.
It also celebrates the bond he shared with his brother André, and reflects on the tragic events that followed his marriage to childhood sweetheart Rute, and the outpouring of grief from across the football world after the deaths of Diogo and André in July 2025.
Delgado said the willingness of those closest to the brothers to share their memories shaped the project.
"What moved me most was the generosity of those closest to them. Family members, teammates, coaches and friends shared their memories to help future generations understand the person Diogo was, and their love for both brothers can be felt on every page," he said.
"The unique bond between Diogo and Liverpool FC"
The author added that his research left him struck by how strongly Jota was connected to the club.
"While researching the book, I came to understand the unique bond between Diogo and Liverpool FC. Everywhere I went, people spoke not only of his talent, but also his humility, commitment and character."
- José Delgado
"My hope is that Forever in our Hearts serves as a fitting tribute to Diogo's life and legacy, and ensures his story continues to inspire others for years to come," Delgado said.
The release is the latest way Liverpool have honoured their eternal No.20. Earlier this year, a permanent memorial to Diogo and André Silva was unveiled outside Anfield, giving supporters a space to reflect on the brothers' lives and their lasting impact on the football community.
