New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye wasn't interested in dwelling on what could have been after being asked whether his team should have won its latest game.
Drake Maye asked if he feels like this is a game the Patriots "should have won" "I think it's hard to say. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. I'm proud of the guys for the effort. I think we did some good things, we've got a lot of stuff to clean up."

"I think it's hard to say. Shoulda, woulda, coulda," Maye said. "I'm proud of the guys for the effort. I think we did some good things, and we got some, a lot of stuff to clean up."
The Patriots had opportunities to change the game's trajectory but couldn't make enough plays to pull ahead. Maye threw an end-zone interception with New England threatening in the first half, and the Bears capitalized to extend their advantage. Although the Patriots continued to fight back, they ultimately fell short in a 30-24 loss.
New England also had to navigate injuries along its offensive line, with Matt Pryor and rookie Walter Rouse filling in at guard. Those lineup changes added another challenge for an offense that struggled to consistently capitalize on its opportunities.
Despite the setbacks, Maye emphasized the positives from the team's performance while acknowledging the need to improve. Rather than focus on missed opportunities or what the Patriots could have done differently, the quarterback pointed toward the work still ahead.
Maye has been a key part of New England's progress this season, but the quarterback knows the team must continue improving if it wants to turn competitive performances into wins.
The Patriots will look to address those issues in their next matchup, with execution and limiting mistakes among the priorities moving forward.
