Although she owned the West Hollywood property, her primary residence was in Tennessee, where she lived with her late husband, Carl Dean.In 2014, the property was listed for sale for $1.4 million. Records indicate that it changed hands in 2023 for $1.2 million, although it remains unclear whether Parton sold it privately before that transaction. The home was also previously listed on Airbnb. Legal dispute involving Dolly Parton’s estate

The property’s removal from the rental market comes amid developments involving Parton’s estate and Bryan Seaver, who identified himself as the son of Cassie Parton and announced the singer’s death through her Instagram account.According to the supplied report, Parton died peacefully in Nashville on August 25 following a brief battle with cancer.

She had spent decades living in Tennessee with Dean, who died in March 2025.In the announcement, Seaver recalled that Parton had asked him years earlier to share the news of her death. He also paid tribute to her life and expressed the hope that she had been reunited with Dean, her parents and other loved ones.Seaver, who had served as head of security at Parton’s properties for more than two decades, was fired from the role on September 16.

He subsequently became embroiled in a legal dispute with She’s Alive, LLC (SAL), an entity tasked with protecting and promoting Parton’s brand.SAL has accused Seaver of making threats of violence and attempting to evade service of legal documents. Seaver has denied the allegations.

Court hearing postponed amid dispute over service of summons

The legal dispute intensified after Seaver filed a motion on October 2 seeking to postpone a hearing scheduled for October 9, claiming he had been unable to secure legal representation.A judge granted the request and moved the hearing to October 20, despite opposition from SAL. In court filings, the entity alleged that attempts to serve Seaver with a summons had been unsuccessful on three occasions.According to the filing, a process server reported seeing four vehicles in the driveway during one attempt, but no one answered the door. The filing further alleged that a no-trespassing sign and barbed wire had subsequently appeared near the entrance to the property.SAL argued that the court should view Seaver’s claim that he could not find an attorney with scepticism. These assertions remain allegations made in court documents, and Seaver has denied the accusations against him.
