Reduced to £9.99 from £19.54, this 20-litre cabin backpack has earned five-star praise for its sturdy construction, clever compartments and ability to fit under an aeroplane seat.

A cabin backpack that shoppers say fits neatly under the seat and offers more room than expected has dropped to just £9.99 in an Amazon deal, with the price slashed by almost half.

The 20-litre travel bag is currently available for £9.99, down 49% from its previous price of £19.54. Available in purple and black, the Ryanair underseat cabin backpack has a compact design packed with pockets to help travellers organise their essentials without paying extra for a larger bag.

It measures 40 x 20 x 25cm, making it a compact option for trips where you want to keep your luggage beneath the seat. The listing also references airlines including easyJet, Wizz Air, Lufthansa and Vueling, although travellers should always check their airline's current baggage dimensions and allowance before flying, as these can differ.

Two five-star reviews highlight why the bag has impressed buyers, particularly when it comes to its quality and storage space.

One shopper described it as being made from “quality light weight but sturdy material”, praising the tear-resistant fabric and reliable zips. They were also impressed by the number of compartments, describing it as a “very well thought out bag”.

The reviewer took it on a recent Jet2 flight to Kalamaki, saying it fitted perfectly as an underseat carry-on and made check-in a breeze. They were so pleased with the purchase that they planned to buy a second one after their partner was impressed, too.

Another five-star reviewer said they had considered various options before choosing the £9.99 cabin backpack, and were amazed by the quality available at such a low price.

They praised its durability and multiple storage pockets, adding that it held more clothing and other essentials, including chargers, than they had expected. After checking in at the airport, they found that it fitted into the flight's luggage bin and slid easily under the seat in the footwell.

For a bag costing less than £10, its range of features is another attraction. The main compartment includes a compression strap to help keep clothes in place, while the front zipped section has organiser pockets for smaller items. There's also a separate padded laptop compartment designed for devices measuring 13 or 14 inches.

A dedicated wet pocket made from waterproof material provides a place for damp towels or toiletries, while a side mesh pocket can hold a water bottle or umbrella. A hidden zipped pocket at the back is designed to keep valuables less visible, and a luggage sleeve lets you slide the backpack over a suitcase handle.

The 20L travel rucksack also features a built-in USB charging connection, so you can connect a compatible power bank stored inside the bag to charge a device while travelling. The power bank itself is not stated as included, so check the listing before ordering.

Made from water-resistant polyester, the backpack has breathable mesh on the back, padded shoulder straps and an adjustable chest strap designed to make it more comfortable to carry. The listing suggests its capacity can suit trips of three to four days, depending on how you pack.

With a 49% reduction bringing the price to £9.99, purple and black options, and reviewers praising its quality, pockets and underseat fit, this could be a useful budget option for anyone planning a city break or short holiday. Prices and availability can change, and airline baggage rules should be checked before departure.
