As of October 23, 2026, the Solana price trades at $103.76 on Binance, reflecting a neutral daily bias with bearish short-term pressure. Price holds above the daily EMA200 but below its EMA20 and EMA50, keeping the broader structure intact without confirming a bullish continuation.
Key takeaways
- SOL trades at $103.76 on Binance, above the daily EMA200 at $96.10 but below the EMA20 and EMA50.
- Daily RSI stands at 39.6 and is falling; hourly RSI at 43.9 confirms weak momentum without reaching oversold territory.
- A bullish recovery requires an hourly close above the pivot at $104.21; a bearish continuation triggers on an hourly close below $103.72.
- Daily MACD histogram is narrowing toward zero, signaling easing downside intensity, but intraday timeframes do not confirm the improvement.
- Chain-wide Solana DEX trading volume reached $2.04 billion over 24 hours, though venue-level activity is mixed.
Solana price holds its broader structure while intraday momentum weakens
The broader daily structure remains intact because price sits above the EMA200 and the averages retain their bullish alignment. However, trading below the EMA20 and EMA50 means that framework is not translating into immediate upside control. This tension defines the neutral classification: the longer-term trend structure is more constructive than the current price action.
The hourly and 15-minute charts both show price below all three EMAs, with bearish alignment on each timeframe. The hourly chart therefore weakens the daily recovery case, while the 15-minute chart provides execution context rather than a separate macro signal. A brief intraday bounce would not, by itself, resolve that disagreement.
Overhead averages constrain recovery as daily volatility leaves room for wider moves
Recovery faces immediate resistance from the hourly EMA stack, while the daily Bollinger Bands show price in the lower half of its envelope. On the daily chart, the EMA50 at $106.69 and EMA20 at $108.17 are overhead resistance, while the EMA200 at $96.10 remains support below price. Their bullish ordering preserves the broader trend framework.
The hourly EMA20 at $104.47, EMA50 at $104.78 and EMA200 at $105.39 form a bearish stack above the live hourly price of $103.78. Consequently, any recovery becomes a sequence of resistance tests rather than an open route higher.
The daily Bollinger midpoint is $109.79, with the lower band at $97.34 and the upper band at $122.24. Meanwhile, price sits in the lower half of that envelope: a return toward the midpoint remains a mean-reversion possibility, not evidence that such a move has begun.
The hourly Bollinger range is much tighter, bounded by $103.72 and $105.07 around a midpoint of $104.40. Price is near the lower boundary, so a rebound is technically plausible, but it would initially run into resistance rather than establish a trend change.
Binance-based ATR readings are $4.73 on the daily chart, $0.74 hourly and $0.37 on the 15-minute chart. In fact, the daily reading puts the narrow intraday levels in perspective: a small recovery or breakdown can matter for execution without settling the broader directional question.
RSI weakness outweighs the improvement in daily MACD
Momentum indicators show a split: RSI readings are uniformly weak across timeframes, while the daily MACD histogram is improving. Daily RSI is 39.6 and falling across the latest completed readings. Hourly RSI is also falling, at 43.9, while the 15-minute reading is 41.1 with mixed recent direction. None is oversold, so there is no exhaustion extreme to strengthen a rebound argument.
The daily MACD histogram remains negative but is narrowing toward zero, indicating that negative momentum is easing. That improvement conflicts with the falling daily RSI; it is evidence of reduced downside intensity, not confirmation of a bullish turn.
The hourly histogram is positive but narrowing, so its positive momentum is fading. On the 15-minute chart, the histogram is negative and widening. The daily improvement therefore lacks intraday confirmation, leaving SOL vulnerable to failed recovery attempts.
The hourly pivot separates a recovery attempt from further downside
The hourly pivot at $104.21 is the line separating a potential recovery from continued downside. Specifically, the nearest overhead obstacle is hourly S1 at $103.89. Despite its label, it is resistance at the current price. The last completed hourly candle closed at $104.06, already above that level, but the live hourly price is back below it. Another brief move above hourly S1 would therefore be weak evidence of a durable recovery.
Bullish scenario: an hourly close above the hourly pivot at $104.21 would trigger a recovery attempt toward hourly R1 at $104.37. An hourly close back below hourly S1 at $103.89 would invalidate that setup. The most likely false bullish signal is a short-lived reclaim of hourly S1 that fails before the pivot, particularly while the hourly averages remain bearish.
A sustained recovery would still face the daily pivot at $104.73 before daily R1 at $106.42. Those are separate daily hurdles, not proof that the broader neutral bias has already become bullish.
Bearish scenario: an hourly close below the hourly Bollinger lower band at $103.72 would trigger a downside-continuation setup, bringing daily S1 at $101.96 into focus. An hourly close above the hourly pivot at $104.21 would invalidate that setup. The likeliest false bearish signal is an intrahour dip below the lower band that reverses before the candle closes.
If daily S1 fails, the next listed daily supports are the Bollinger lower band at $97.34 and EMA200 at $96.10. In any case, these are conditional reference points, not projected destinations. The daily ATR underscores the risk of a wider move, while the disagreement between daily MACD and RSI limits confidence in either directional scenario.
Network developments offer context, but DEX activity is mixed
Fundamental developments provide a constructive counterpoint to the weak technical setup, though price has not responded bullishly to either event. Specifically, J.P. Morgan launched tokenized money market funds on Solana, and the Alpenglow network upgrade went live. These are notable milestones, but the supplied price readings do not establish a bullish reaction.
The supplied DEX data records $2,039,384,832.23 in chain-wide Solana DEX trading volume over 24 hours. Notably, this measures trading activity across the blockchain, not SOL-specific volume, fees or revenue, so it cannot establish directional demand for SOL.
All listed venues show negative one-day volume changes. Nevertheless, the broader picture is mixed: HumidiFi has seven-day growth of 124.78%, while PumpSwap is down 49.52% over the same interval. That divergence does not support a blanket claim that activity is either expanding or contracting uniformly across venues.
Neutral sentiment offers little confirmation for a bullish reversal
Sentiment data aligns with the neutral technical bias, offering no contrarian signal for a recovery. Alternative.me’s Fear & Greed Index stands at 50, classified as Neutral. As a result, that reading provides no clear sentiment extreme to reinforce a contrarian recovery thesis.
CoinGecko places total crypto market capitalization at $2,738,867,365,653.36 and Bitcoin dominance at 59.43%. In any case, these are backdrop levels, not evidence of a change in dominance or a rotation into Solana; the asset’s own technical structure remains the stronger basis for the scenarios above.
FAQ
Is Solana’s daily outlook bullish or bearish?
Neutral, with a defensive tilt: price is below the daily EMA20 and EMA50 but above the EMA200, and the daily averages remain bullishly aligned.
Is Solana oversold?
No. Daily RSI is 39.6, hourly RSI is 43.9 and 15-minute RSI is 41.1; none is below 30.
Does the DEX volume figure measure SOL purchases?
No. The DEX volume figure measures chain-wide DEX trading volume on Solana, not SOL-specific buying, fees or revenue.
