ONE SAMURAI 5 continues to expand with new additions, as two exciting kickboxing matches have been confirmed for Tokyo’s EBARA WAVE Arena Ota on Wednesday, November 18.
Japanese phenom Reiji faces battle-tested veteran Rui Botelho in strawweight kickboxing action, while surging bantamweight GUMP “Mr. No Damage” welcomes countryman Shuto Inui to the global stage.
The evening will be headlined by a showdown between reigning ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Joshua “The Passion” Pacio and challenger Keito “Pocket Monk” Yamakita.
Reiji Faces Veteran Test In Botelho
Joining the stacked ONE SAMURAI 5 lineup is one of Japan’s fastest-rising young strikers.
At just 18 years old, Reiji has already compiled a stellar 10-3 professional record and captured prestigious domestic titles before aggressively announcing himself to ONE Championship’s global fan base earlier this year.
The Nanseikaikan product defeated Sheng Yi Hang by unanimous decision in his promotional debut at The Inner Circle 11 this past April, before returning at ONE SAMURAI 2 four months later.
There, Reiji showcased his slick footwork and razor-sharp counterstriking to outpoint fellow Japanese prospect Shoma Okumura, flawlessly extending his perfect start in ONE to 2-0.
Botelho, however, represents a massive step up in competitive experience.
The European Kickboxing Champion has spent years trading leather with elite opposition inside the ONE ring, including ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan Di Bella and decorated Thai striker “The Angel Warrior” Panpayak Jitmuangnon.
The gritty Portuguese veteran has also proven highly capable of upsetting the division’s brightest young talents. Most notably, he owns two crucial split-decision victories over former ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title challenger “Fighting Rooster” Zhang Peimian, including their rematch in September 2025.
That immense wealth of global experience will now directly collide with Reiji’s youthful momentum in Tokyo, as the Japanese phenom looks to aggressively continue his rapid rise against one of the division’s most seasoned campaigners.
GUMP Looks To Keep His Momentum Against Inui
The bantamweight kickboxing division is adding a distinct layer of local flavor to the ONE SAMURAI 5 card, featuring a surging striker looking to build promotional momentum against a hungry debutant aiming to steal it.
GUMP, a 23-year-old Team Teppen product armed with a 19-5 striking record, has made a solid impression since arriving in ONE in 2025. He claimed two hard-fought victories at ONE Friday Fights and carries that supreme confidence into November 18.
Now competing in the Tokyo-based arena, the young Japanese kickboxer will perform in front of a home-crowd audience that will only sharpen his determination to keep his impressive winning streak alive.
On the other hand, Inui is a 29-year-old making his ONE debut with a massive point to prove, desperate to make an immediate statement and announce his dangerous presence to the global kickboxing fan base.
A victory for GUMP would firmly cement his standing as a rising bantamweight name to watch. Conversely, an upset by Inui would serve as the exact kind of highlight-reel debut statement that changes a fighter’s career overnight.
