Obsession's theatrical run is over, which means fans who want to experience the 2026 horror hit again, or maybe for the first time, have to look to digital platforms to watch it. In November, director Curry Barker's Obsession will make its debut on Netflix, which is bound to spark another surge of discussion about the horror film.
Obsession took the world by storm when it was released in theaters on May 15, 2026. It made $17 million domestically on opening weekend, and it only got better from there. In total, Obsession grossed $522.8 million worldwide during its theatrical run — impressive, considering its $750,000 production budget.
Obsession is coming to Netflix this November
Obsession is one of the most profitable movies of all time and has captured a wide audience, which turned it from another indie hit from Blumhouse Production to global sensation. The horror flick is about to receive a new wave of fans as it hits Netflix on Nov. 17. Unfortunately, viewers won't be able to add this horror movie to their spooky month watchlist. Thankfully, they'll be able to watch it before Grand Theft Auto 6 launches and takes over everyone's free time.
Obsession stars Michael Johnston as Bear, a shop clerk who harbors hopeless romantic feelings for his friend Nikki (Inde Navarrette). When Bear uses a magical toy to wish Nikki would love him more than anyone in the world, he soon regrets it when chaos, hysteria, and a true bloodbath ensue.
Although Obsession is currently available to stream on Peacock, its debut on Netflix will likely gain more traction.
