The cooperative society will offer hilsa in two size categories, with prices fixed at Rs 1,350 and Rs 1,500 per kg, the official said.

The first category will comprise hilsa weighing between 1.2 kg and 1.3 kg, priced at Rs 1,350 per kg. The second category will be priced at Rs 1,500 per kg, though the official’s remarks on the weight range for this category were unclear.

Fish from Dambur Lake will also be available for sale, including larger-sized catla and possibly rohu, at Rs 450 per kg, the official said.

The official announced the arrangements while extending greetings on the occasion of Durga Puja on behalf of the cooperative society.

The sale will continue the society’s annual practice of making fish available to customers on Vijaya Dashami, the official said.
