Tyler Herro was easily the standout performer in the Milwaukee Bucks‘ 132-125 loss against the Chicago Bulls on Friday. In his official home debut, the one-time All-Star produced a game-high 34 points, five rebounds, four assists, and five three-pointers on 12-for-24 shooting in 32 minutes.
Seven players scored double-digit points against the Bulls. Besides Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kyle Kuzma, Myles Turner, Ryan Rollins, AJ Green, and Kel’el Ware tallied 19, 14, 12, 11, 11, and 11 points for Milwaukee in the losing effort.
Tyler Herro reflects on his first home game with the Milwaukee Bucks
While they didn’t get the win, Tyler Herro called last night’s game a positive experience, as he finally played in front of his fellow Wisconsinites, this time as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks, after suiting up for the Miami Heat in his first seven NBA seasons.
“It was just a great moment,” Herro said postgame. “I was able to soak it in. Had a lot of family and friends here, so I was excited to be able to get that opportunity. Just wanted to be ready for it. Obviously, we’ve got to do some better things on both sides of the ball to make sure we can squeeze out wins like that at the end. We’ll be better.”
Jaime Jaquez Jr. explains what went wrong for the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls

After outscoring the Chicago Bulls 32-17 in the first quarter, the Milwaukee Bucks conceded 44 and 41 points in the next two quarters before ultimately running out of gas in the final frame. In his media availability, Jaime Jaquez Jr. emphasized the need for the team to tighten things up defensively.
“Just defensively, we’ve got to be a lot better. We’re actually putting a lot of points on the board, which is a positive for us. We just gotta understand defensively, that’s what it’s gonna take to win. Once we got those leads, we gotta maintain ‘em and then push them. So, take it as a learning experience, quick turnaround, got another one tomorrow,” Jaquez stated.
