The Parliamentary Football Coordinating Team has unveiled its official football jerseys ahead of Parliament’s opening fixture in the 2026 Inter-Ministerial Football Tournament, receiving strong backing from the institution’s political and administrative leadership.
The presentation ceremony brought together parliamentary leaders from across the political divide, alongside administrative heads, players and staff members, in a show of support for the team ahead of the competition.
Speaking during the ceremony, Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas, pledged his full support for the squad, praising its discipline, coordination and athletic quality. He expressed confidence in the team’s ability to compete for the tournament title while promoting unity beyond the legislative chamber.
The Speaker also confirmed that he would attend Sunday’s match to cheer on the team, predicting a convincing victory for Parliament.
Organised jointly by the Ministry of Sport and the National Sports Authority (NSA), the annual Inter-Ministerial Football Tournament aims to promote physical fitness, workplace camaraderie and collaboration among ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs).

Ahead of the opening fixture, the Parliamentary Football Coordinating Team has appealed to Members of Parliament, administrative officers and parliamentary staff to purchase the newly unveiled official jerseys and turn out in large numbers to support the squad on Sunday evening.
With support from both sides of the House, Parliament is looking to begin its 2026 tournament campaign on a winning note.
