KUALA LUMPUR: National songbird Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for taking time out of his busy schedule to attend her magnificent Gema Bumantara Traditional Concert at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil last night.
Addressing a roaring crowd of roughly 63,000 music lovers who packed the nation's premier venue, Siti warmly welcomed Anwar alongside other distinguished VIP guests at her grandest traditional showcase to date.
"Tonight, we are deeply honoured to welcome our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Thank you for gracing my biggest traditional music concert," she beamed onstage following an electrifying duet with guest singer Haziq Rosebi.
Anwar was spotted seated beside Siti's husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa. Both wore raincoats as unpredictable downpours persisted throughout the evening.
Yet, despite the constant drizzle from the moment the show kicked off at 8.30pm, the dedicated fans refused to budge, showing unwavering devotion to the nation's top diva.

Clearly moved by her supporters' passion while braving the wet conditions, Siti showered the drenched audience with appreciation.
"We make our plans, but God ultimately decides. I cannot stop the rain, though it certainly keeps us a little cooler!" she quipped.
"Regardless, this is a dream come true for me, one that I was unsure when I could ever realise again. It has finally manifested right here at the nation's largest stadium," added Siti to resounding cheers and thunderous applause.
The Gema Bumantara Traditional Concert comes nine months after her historic three-decade milestone showcase, the Legacy 30 Siti Nurhaliza Concert, which drew 65,000 fans to the exact same venue back on January 10.
Created as a special thank-you to her fans, tonight's extravaganza also served as an ambitious effort to celebrate and revitalise the timeless beauty of traditional music across generations.
It marked Siti's first solo concert at the iconic stadium dedicated entirely to heritage sounds and Nusantara folk traditions.
Elevating the night's grandeur was a stellar lineup of guest stars, including the Queen of Irama Malaysia, Noraniza Idris, Haziq Rosebi, and Indonesian vocal powerhouses Lesti Kejora and King Nassar.
Across a dazzling three-hour set list featuring more than 30 classic tunes, Siti not only showcased her legendary vocal range but also championed cultural heritage through mesmerising zapin dance troupes, traditional wayang kulit puppetry, and striking heritage attire.
In a touch of class, the iconic singer dedicated a poignant tribute to the legendary composers, lyricists, and cultural activists who built the bedrock of traditional music.
