Seattle Seahawks star Sam Darnold was far from his best against the Denver Broncos in Week 6, as costly turnovers and missed scoring opportunities contributed to Seattle's disappointing loss. Despite showing flashes of resilience, Darnold struggled to deliver when his team needed him most.
Darnold completed 27 of 51 passes for 278 yards, but threw zero touchdowns and recorded two interceptions. He also rushed for 19 yards on two carries. He was unable to move the offense the way that he’s been known to do, and his lack of touchdown production and turnovers overshadowed the statistical positives that he produced.
Darnold's second interception came in overtime and played a significant role in Seattle's defeat, as it led to the game-winning field goal being scored by Denver on the ensuing drive. Although Darnold helped keep the game competitive, his mistakes proved too costly to overcome.
Ultimately, Darnold's performance fell short of expectations and reflects an uneven outing in which his mistakes outweighed his contributions.
