Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (September 14) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm.
For weeks, Hollyoaks fans have been attempting to work out the identity of Imran Maalik’s (Ijaz Rana) secret ex lover.
But the time for speculation is over as the identity of the woman in question has now been revealed – and when we say you will be picking your jaw up from the floor after you read this, we truly mean it!
Imran returned to the village earlier this year with wife-to-be Leah Barnes (Charlotte Alex Riley), with the two villagers having fallen in love earlier while in the US.
But ahead of his wedding, it came to light that Imran had a secret ex from before Leah – someone who he was truly head over heels for.
The person in question was subsequently revealed to be in the village after Imran encountered them following the disaster that was his wedding day – as the two former flames rekindled their passion.

Speculation has been rife among fans, who are desperately trying to work out who the person in question is. And the latest edition of the Channel 4 soap, which is now streaming, has revealed all.
With Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) – who is on the run after Leah’s accident – having turned up in a video posted by a social media influencer, Leah made it her mission to track him down. Imran took it upon himself to assist, locating Lucas in subsequent scenes.
A chase ensued between the two and disaster struck soon after, with Lucas left trapped and unconscious underneath some scaffolding.
Imran was all set to call for assistance but instead he opted to contact someone else. This someone else subsequently rendezvoused with him outside The Love Boat.
Panicked, Imran attempted to reveal what happened to this mystery person, who – spoiler alert – was none other than Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring)!
Bet you didn’t see that coming.
Cindy, as viewers know, recently returned to the village too and has not really crossed paths with Imran on-screen – until now.
The truth behind their love story and how they first met is revealed in a special edition of the Channel 4 soap set to air next week.
Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4’s streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4.
