Nairobi - Kenya Power has announced planned electricity outages across several areas in five counties, including Nairobi and Kiambu, scheduled for Sunday, October 18.

The utility company cited routine maintenance work, upgrades to the power distribution network, connection of new customers, and replacement of power lines during road construction as the primary reasons for the interruptions.
Areas Affected by the October 18 Outage
The interruptions are scheduled to begin at 9am and conclude at 5pm, lasting a total of eight hours.

Customers in the listed areas within Nairobi and Kiambu counties, along with three other affected counties, are advised to make the necessary preparations ahead of the outage. Kenya Power routinely carries out such planned interruptions to ensure the long-term reliability and safety of the national electricity grid.
