Redmi K100 has become a hot topic ahead of its expected launch in China. According to Chinese tech reports, Xiaomi is set to release this model on October 27, 2026. The company has also teased a dedicated gaming graphics chip and a large battery.
Recent leaks point to a price of about CNY 3,500, a powerful Snapdragon processor, Bose-tuned speakers, and a high-refresh-rate screen. Several hardware details still await official confirmation.
Redmi K100 Expected Price
A recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station suggests the K100 could cost around CNY 3,500 in China. This is approximately Rs. 50,000, though the price for the Indian launch could be different.
Reports also mention a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version at around CNY 3,000, or about Rs. 43,000. The higher figure may reflect extra hardware such as better cooling and other special features. Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed a retail price.
The standard K100 should sit below the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max. The Pro launched in China at CNY 3,999 for its base version, and the Pro Max at CNY 4,499. That gap could make the standard model appealing to buyers who want strong performance without paying for the top versions.
Launch Date and Availability
Chinese reports now point to a launch on October 27 at 7 p.m. local time. Redmi has teased the standard K100 and opened pre-reservations in China, where a CNY 9.9 deposit reportedly unlocks a special gift package with a later purchase.
These early steps suggest the launch is close, though full retail details are still to come. There’s no word yet on an India launch. Xiaomi hasn’t said whether the standard K100 will reach Indian stores under the Redmi name or show up elsewhere as a related POCO model.
Processor and Gaming Features
Recent reports say the K100 could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which should handle demanding games, heavy apps, and daily tasks with ease. Some reports also mention a dedicated gaming graphics chip, which Redmi has teased as a first for the standard K100. A chip like that could keep frame rates steadier in supported games.
Leaks also point to an improved built-in cooling fan to control heat during long sessions and limit performance drops under load. A large vibration motor may give stronger feedback in games. The final cooling design and graphics chip details still need Redmi’s confirmation.

Display and Design
K100 may receive a large OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. Some reports suggest a size near 6.9 inches, though that isn’t certain. A high refresh rate can make menus, scrolling and supported games look smoother, but the benefit depends on the app and the frame rate the phone can actually deliver.
The design may stay close to Redmi’s familiar look, with a few gaming-focused touches. Some leaks mention a secondary screen on the back, which remains unconfirmed. Redmi hasn’t revealed the full design or official display specs.
Battery and Charging
Battery life could be the K100’s biggest strength. Redmi has promoted a 10,000mAh battery, marking a massive jump in capacity for the K series. Earlier leaks also pointed to 10,000mAh, though the exact capacity and battery type still need confirming. A cell that size could stretch gaming, video playback and daily use.
Some reports mention 100W wired charging, but Redmi hasn’t confirmed the final charging details. A big battery means longer use between charges, yet weight, heat control, and charging time matter too. Real-world use will be the true test, not capacity alone.
Speakers and Other Features
K100 may have dual speakers tuned by Bose, which could bring clear voices and fuller sound for films, music and games. Redmi has also teased a green colour called Firefly Green, along with a flat screen, a metal frame and a wide rear camera section. The final look should become clearer closer to launch.
Other reports mention an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and IP68 dust and water resistance. The rear secondary screen has appeared in leaks too, but nothing official backs it up. All of this should be treated as tentative until Redmi releases the full spec sheet.
Cameras and Software
Cameras are the murkiest part of the story. Some third-party reports claim a 200-megapixel main camera, and other details hint at a second rear sensor. Redmi hasn’t confirmed the camera hardware, so any claim about photo quality would be premature. Results will depend on the sensor, lens quality, image processing, and software.
The software version needs confirming too. Some reports point to a newer HyperOS release, but the final system and update policy are unclear. Official details will settle app support, security updates, and other everyday features.
Redmi K100 vs K100 Pro
K100 Pro and Pro Max already bring high-end hardware, large batteries, and fast charging. The Pro starts at CNY 3,999 and the Pro Max at CNY 4,499 in China. The standard K100 could come in cheaper while keeping a powerful processor, a dedicated graphics chip, and a big battery.
This mix might suit buyers who care more about speed and battery life than extra camera features. Whether it beats the Pro versions on value will depend on the final price and full hardware list.

Final Verdict
K100 looks set to focus on speed, screen quality and long battery life. Redmi has confirmed the October 27 China launch and teased a dedicated graphics chip, while leaks point to a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a battery in the 10,000mAh class. The expected CNY 3,500 price could land it below the Pro models, but official pricing hasn’t been announced.
For now, it’s a phone worth watching, especially for anyone who wants strong performance and fewer battery worries. A final verdict has to wait for confirmed specs, camera details, charging speeds and any news on an India launch.
