Rob Lowe and his family have found a moment of light during a difficult period.
On Saturday, October 10, the West Wing alum's eldest son Matthew Lowe married Emily Markus in Santa Barbara, California.
The nuptials come two weeks after the groom's cousin, his uncle Chad Lowe's one of three daughters, Fiona Lowe, died age 13, from a suicide.

According to Page Six, Gwyneth Paltrow officiated the wedding; she has been friends with Rob for multiple decades, and met his wife Sheryl Berkoff when they were teenagers, when Sheryl, a make-up artist, did make-up on Gwyneth's actress mother Blythe Danner.
The wedding was packed with star friends of the Lowe family. Many of the Schwarzeneggers were there, including Katherine Schwarzenegger and her husband Chris Pratt, the former's mother Maria Shriver, and her three other children, Christina Schwarzenegger, Christopher Schwarzenegger, and Patrick Schwarzenegger along with his wife Abby Champion.
Also in attendance were Katy Perry, Zoe Saldaña and her husband Marco Perego-Saldaña, Behati Prinsloo, Adam Levine, and Cameron Diaz, among others.
Matthew, 33, and Emily announced their engagement over Fourth of July weekend in 2025, with the former sharing a series of photos of the proposal on Instagram, writing: "Lord of the rings."
Chad and his wife Kim Painter, who are also parents to daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10, were also in attendance at the wedding, as were their daughters.
Mabel broke her silence on her little sister's tragic passing in an October 3 Instagram post, sharing a slew of photos of the two throughout the years.

In a statement announcing Fiona's death on September 29, the Lowe family said: "We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona," remembering her as "a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance."
"She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents," they continued, adding, "In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time."
