By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The killing of a Carmelita Village man has left Orange Walk East grieving, and its Area Representative searching for answers.
Minister Kevin Bernard said he could not understand how the young man came to be so terribly murdered.
“What could he have done so wrong to deserve such a heinous crime?” Bernard said in an interview with CTV3.
Bernard described him as a key partner in organizing football and other sports in the constituency, including the popular Mundialito tournaments. He said the man made a real difference in the lives of many young people.
The victim was found by relatives on Tuesday morning in Carmelita, after he failed to return home from the football field the night before. Police say a full investigation is underway.
Bernard said he hopes the family gets justice.
