Griezmann is the new king of MLS: he surpasses a record that not even Messi could achieve after his arrival

The North American adventure of the french forward continues to add golden chapters following his departure from European football to embark on a new professional stage. With an impeccable career in LaLiga and with the French national team, his arrival on American soil came loaded with high media expectations.

However, few foresaw such a devastating and lightning-fast integration into the tactical setup of his new club. In a matter of months, the striker has shown absolute staying power, leading the purple attack and transforming the franchise's competitive dynamic in the decisive stretch of the regular season.

In the most recent match against Toronto FC, the world champion was the undisputed star of a thrilling clash that ended in a pulsating 3-3 draw. Griezmann delivered a superb performance by scoring a goal and providing an assist, cementing himself as the main driving force behind the Florida side.

An unprecedented immediate impact in MLS

As reported by official Major League Soccer information and various specialized outlets such as Tribuna, the feat achieved by the former Atlético de Madrid star breaks with any statistical precedent in the championship. No newly arrived player had managed to make such a consistent impact on opponents' nets at the start of his league career.

The total stands at 10 goals and 6 assists in just 13 appearances, dazzling numbers for a footballer who did not complete preseason with the squad. His ability to link up play and finish moves has been the cornerstone of his team's rise in the standings.

In addition, there is one particular statistic that highlights his collective influence: the purple side remains completely unbeaten every time the Frenchman finds the net. This streak of effectiveness reflects how his presence noticeably raises the level of his teammates on the pitch.

The Gallic idol who transforms franchises

The acclimatization of major European stars to MLS usually requires time, extensive travel, and a notable period of physical adjustment. However, the case of the French international has been an absolute exception of rapid adaptation, earning the devotion of a fanbase that packs the stands to witness his performances.

Orlando City fans have poured out their enthusiasm before each match at the stadium, paying tribute to the French international and celebrating his leadership within a very young locker room. His tactical influence has given the franchise a definitive leap in quality in attack.

Looking ahead to the next league clash against DC United, the Florida side is confident of extending this winning streak thanks to its star. The challenge is to secure a playoff spot in the best position possible, relying on the most decisive version of the European goalscorer.
