A Sainsbury’s Nectar offer is giving families a Halloween decorating project for pocket change. Here’s how to get the 50p pumpkin price.
Halloween decorations can get frighteningly expensive, but Sainsbury’s has a pumpkin offer that's much easier on the wallet - and all you need is a Nectar card.
It's a two for £1 offer on medium-sized pumpkins, bringing the price down to just 50p each. And, if you don't have a Nectar card, they're still only 59p each.
So for Nectar card holders, all you need is a quid, and you have the beginnings of a Halloween display, a pumpkin each for two children to decorate, or one for the front door and another for the kitchen table. Or you could just make a ridiculous amount of pumpkin soup.

Sainsbury’s describes these as medium pumpkins, and larger pumpkins are on offer for just £1.75, or there's always the "monster pumpkin" for £3.
Remarkably, the medium pumpkin is cheaper than the mini specimens in the selection of decorative squashes, which are £1.35 each this year.
The pumpkins are grown in the UK, and Sainsbury’s recommends storing them somewhere cool and dry. If you are buying ahead of Halloween, keeping them whole until you are ready to decorate is a sensible approach.
The Nectar offer is listed for delivery or collection until October 31, subject to availability.
