A wave of bad weather battering Cyprus is causing faults on the Electricity Authority (EAC) network in every district, with power cuts reported across the island.
Extensive outages were recorded in parts of Nicosia, including Agios Dometios, Dheftera, Lakatamia, Dali and Pallouriotissa.
In Limassol, cuts hit Arakapas, Eptagoneia, Kellaki, Parekklisia and Trachoni. In Larnaca, they affected Aradippou, Melini, Odou, Ora, Psevdas and Oroklini, and in Paphos, Akourso, Arodes, Ineia, Kathikas and Peyia.
Police rescued six tourists trapped by fast-flowing water in the Avakas Gorge in the Akamas.
The Peyia-Lara road remains impassable after the Aspros river overflowed. The Fire Service received eight calls for water pumping, and standing water is causing problems on the road network.
An orange weather warning remains in force until 5am.
