DAEJEON — The National Jangseong Forest Education Center, run by the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, will host a healing family camp for families worn down by school and workplace stress, in partnership with the Jangseong Gastronomy Industry Promotion Agency.
The camp, titled "Embracing the Forest, Tasting Jangseong: Jangseong Healing Family Camp," will run as a two-day, one-night program over five sessions from Nov. 19 to Dec. 6. It is open to families with children, and each session will accept up to 16 families, or 68 people.
Programs are designed to strengthen communication and bonds among family members. Participants will prepare and sample dishes from the promotion agency's healing meal recipes in a lunchbox-making session, make cypress cutting boards and try wood burning together, and take part in a sensory forest experience.
