MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. Servicemen of the Battlegroup Center’s air defense missile brigade destroyed more than 20 Ukrainian drones in four days, employing the new F-1 interceptor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for the first time, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
"This F-1 drone, which has been put into service with the air defense missile brigade’s anti-UAV unit, has demonstrated high effectiveness in destroying high-speed targets. Over four days of combat use, the crews destroyed more than 20 enemy attack drones of various types, including the PD-2, Rubaka, and Bliskavka," the ministry said.
In addition, according to its data, the interceptor drone crew destroyed two new enemy Anubis unmanned aerial vehicles for the first time.
The ministry emphasized that with the F-1 interceptor drone, Russian troops effectively counter enemy strike and reconnaissance UAVs as they approach, preventing their attacks on military units. They operate in close coordination with air surveillance posts and radar station crews, ensuring the timely detection and elimination of aerial targets.
