Shinsegae Department Store's Centum City said on the 14th that it has completed a renovation of its fifth-floor men's fashion hall, expanding the share of contemporary and designer labels.
Shinsegae Department Store added new brands through the overhaul. Among them are Roughside and Blankroom, both of which opened their first stores in the Busan market with the move. Roughside is giving away a muffler to shoppers who spend 500,000 won or more, while Blankroom is discounting selected items by up to 20%.
The department store is also running a pop-up store for Y-3, a collaboration between global sportswear brand Adidas and designer Yohji Yamamoto, through March 18 next year. The pop-up features this fall and winter season's products along with a range of other items. All products carry a 10% discount through the 18th of this month.
The store has also lined up promotions to mark the men's hall renovation. Popular labels including Theory, Beaker and Sandro Homme are offering gift certificates worth up to 250,000 won depending on the amount spent. Juun.J, Man on the Boon and A.P.C. are providing discounts to buyers. DKNY, Our Legacy and Tommy Hilfiger are offering discounts of 10% to 20%, along with additional markdowns tied to purchase amounts.
Sun Hyun-woo, head of fashion at Shinsegae Department Store, said the renovation strengthened new brands and content that had been hard to find in Busan, adding that the floor is expected to establish itself as the region's leading men's fashion hall.
