DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA and Türkiye are taking steps to strengthen investment and trade cooperation through strategic opportunities aimed at promoting industrial development, creating jobs and expanding markets for products between the two countries.
The initiative follows a strategic meeting between the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) and the Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), held in Dar es Salaam to attract more Turkish investment and broaden bilateral trade.
The TISEZA delegation was led by Investment Promotion Manager, Daudi Riganda, representing the Director General, while MÜSİAD was represented by its Vice President, Selim Başdemir. The discussions focused on linking Turkish investors with investment opportunities in Tanzania, particularly through special economic zones and industrial parks.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed investment opportunities in several sectors, including agriculture and agro-processing, manufacturing and production, energy, mining, infrastructure, construction and tourism. These sectors are considered important for increasing production, supporting economic growth and strengthening trade between the two countries.

Speaking at the meeting, Riganda invited the MÜSİAD delegation to visit Tanzania’s special economic zones and industrial parks to assess the available opportunities and explore the possibility of establishing investment projects in the country.
For its part, the MÜSİAD delegation expressed its willingness to continue examining the opportunities presented, paving the way for investment decisions following the completion of assessments of the proposed projects.
The cooperation is expected to create new economic opportunities by encouraging Turkish capital to flow into Tanzania, supporting industrial development, creating employment and expanding trade in goods between the two countries.
