Alvaro Arbeloa hailed Fulham’s character after they secured a 1-0 win over Hull City for their first Premier League victory of the season.
The Fulham boss was delighted with the way his side continued to attack after taking the lead through Alex Iwobi and believes the victory was reward for their recent work.
“I’m so proud of my players because they played with great personality, great character,” Arbeloa said.
“We scored one goal, and we continued attacking in the second half.”
Arbeloa was also pleased for the Fulham supporters after seeing his side return to winning ways.
“I’m so happy for our supporters – they deserve this victory, this win,” he said.
“And for my players.”
The Spaniard also praised the squad for continuing to trust in his approach despite pressure building on his position following a poor start.
“It’s not easy for players when you are working hard, when you are doing what your coach is asking you, and you don’t win games,” Arbeloa said.
“It’s not easy to keep doing the same things, keep working, keep trying to improve.
“And my players believe in our ideas, and they play in the way that we are playing, even when we were losing games.”
