MLB moved the Los Angeles Dodgers’ NLCS Game 4 matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers up, with the new start time at 5:00 p.m. PT on Thursday.
The change came following a change in the start time for the Game 3 in the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays’ ALCS matchup due to forecasted inclement weather. Their 3:00 p.m. PT matchup moved to 10:00 a.m. PT.
“Dodgers fans, please be advised that tomorrow’s NLCS Game 4 start time has been changed to 5:00 p.m. PT,” the team said in a statement. “Please plan accordingly. We look forward to seeing you at Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium.”
How Important is Game 4 for the Dodgers?
The Dodgers trail the Brewers by two games heading into Wednesday’s Game 3 matchup, and Game 4 will be incredibly important regardless of the result.
If the Dodgers lose on Wednesday, the Brewers will take a 3-0 lead in the series, making Thursday’s game a win-or-go-home matchup, but a win will bring them within just one game of their opponents with two games at home still to come.
The Dodgers have Blake Snell pitching in Game 3, and will hope he can improve upon his outing in Game 2 of the NLDS. Snell threw just 3.2 innings in his first start this postseason, allowing one earned run while walking five batters. He did well against the Brewers in last year’s NLCS, though, pitching eight innings of one-hit baseball while holding his opponents scoreless.
Milwaukee has left-hander Robert Gasser on the mound, and they’ll look to get to the southpaw as they have all season. The Dodgers scored seven runs against Gasser in just 10.2 innings during the regular season.
The Brewers haven’t announced their starter for Game 4, but the Dodgers will send out Tyler Glasnow for Game 4 for his second start of the postseason. He started Game 4 in the NLDS as well, striking out five batters through 4.2 innings and allowing just one run, though he also walked five batters in that game.
LA will hope to keep their hopes for a three-peat alive in the third game of the NLCS, which begins Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. PT.
