An Air India flight travelling from Frankfurt, Germany, to New Delhi diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday after a suspected hijack alert and an alleged bomb threat. All passengers remained safe after the aircraft landed at Jaipur International Airport.
Flight AI-2030 landed at 9:35am local time. Airport officials moved the aircraft to an isolated parking bay for security checks. Indian media reports said authorities began investigating the incident after the landing.

According to India Today, Ahmedabad Air Traffic Control received an emergency signal from the aircraft for a few seconds around 9am. Preliminary reports indicated that the flight had otherwise operated normally before the alert.
The pilot reportedly activated Squawk 7500, an internationally recognised transponder code that signals a hijacking or unlawful interference. The brief signal raised concerns about a possible security threat during the journey.
The Hindustan Times, citing police sources, reported that a bomb threat prompted the diversion. Airport management confirmed that all passengers remained safe and allowed them to disembark. Authorities continued security checks while investigating the threat.

The incident comes amid another aviation security incident involving a Flydubai flight on Wednesday. Flight FZ1073, travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv with 174 passengers, made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, following an altercation in the cockpit.
Flydubai said its crew secured the aircraft and diverted it safely. Airport officials reported that both the captain and first officer were injured and taken to hospital. All passengers and crew members were reported safe.
Saudi Arabia’s National Transport Safety Centre launched an investigation into the Flydubai incident. Investigators are coordinating with relevant authorities to establish the circumstances and examine aviation safety concerns. Passengers later continued their journey from Tabuk on an alternative Flydubai aircraft.
Authorities are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the Air India diversion. The available reports did not confirm whether investigators found a bomb or established that an attempted hijacking had occurred.
