Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop missed a crucial 49-yard field-goal attempt early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
After missing four total field goals through his rookie season in 2025, Loop has already missed three through the first six games of the Ravens' 2026 campaign.
On Tuesday, the Ravens signed veteran kicker Jake Moody to their practice squad — bringing in competition for Loop as they prepare for Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Moody has kicked for three teams in his NFL career: the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders. Through 40 games appearances, he's connected on 78% of his field goal attempts and 97.3% of his extra point attempts.
"Like any position, you're always looking at ways of how to impact the roster. That one being no different." Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said when asked about potentially adding another kicker on Monday.
"There's a confidence level for how [Loop] prepares and how he practices and operates and strikes the ball. But at the same time, that position itself is completely results driven," Minter added.
