By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Fort Lauderdale is just the beginning.
BermudAir says its new Fort Lauderdale route, launching October 26, is the first of five new gateways connecting the United States to Belize.
Nonstop service from Boston, Massachusetts; Raleigh Durham, North Carolina; and Orlando Sanford and St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay in Florida is scheduled to start in December 2026.
The new routes will open easier access to Belize for travellers across the eastern United States.
The expansion comes at an important time for Belize’s tourism industry. Minister of Tourism Anthony Mahler recently confirmed that overnight arrivals declined from June through August, but said new flights would help the industry bounce back in the final quarter. BermudAir was among the airlines he highlighted.
With the high season approaching, tourism operators from San Pedro to Cayo will be hoping the new connections bring more visitors through the door.
To celebrate the launch, BermudAir is offering one way fares from US$99 between Fort Lauderdale and Belize City for bookings made through October 19.
