PZ Cussons Ghana has unveiled media personality and entrepreneur Matilda Adjoa Densu, popularly known as AJ Poundz, as its new Family Care Ambassador for CAMEL Antiseptic and Cussons Baby.
The partnership seeks to strengthen the brands’ connection with Ghanaian households by promoting hygiene, protection, and baby care, while leveraging AJ Poundz’s influence and experience as a mother of three to engage consumers.
Speaking at the unveiling, Category Manager for Personal Care (CAMEL) at PZ Cussons Ghana, Dorothy Opare Acolatse, said the partnership reflects the brand’s commitment to helping families maintain cleanliness and protect their loved ones.
She explained that CAMEL’s purpose is to help families stay clean, cared for, and protected, while giving parents the confidence to allow their children to enjoy everyday life.
“We know that our children will be running around, they’ll be going to school, they’ll be interacting, the house will get messy. But we say that with us, you can say yes to them having that life free,” she said.
She added that AJ Poundz’s experience as a mother makes her a suitable ambassador to communicate the brand’s message to consumers in a relatable way.

“For us as CAMEL, it’s just bringing someone real to have those conversations with our consumers,” she said.
For Cussons Baby, the partnership focuses on supporting mothers through the different stages of motherhood, with an emphasis on nurturing, protection, and confidence in caring for their children.
Category Manager for Cussons Baby and Home Care at PZ Cussons Ghana, Clara Ofori-Adu, said AJ Poundz’s personal experience would help her connect with the brand’s purpose and the everyday realities of motherhood.
“And so bringing her on board, we know she will communicate, she will connect with what Cussons Baby stands for, which is the heart of Cussons Baby,” she said.
AJ Poundz expressed excitement and gratitude for the opportunity, describing the partnership as a significant responsibility.

“I was extremely happy. I was so grateful when I got the call,” she said, adding that the opportunity to represent both CAMEL and Cussons Baby made the partnership particularly meaningful to her.
AJ Poundz said the collaboration would seek to reinforce the brands’ presence in Ghanaian homes.
PZ Cussons Ghana says consumers can expect further engagements and activities under the partnership to deepen awareness of CAMEL Antiseptic and Cussons Baby and help families better understand the products and their uses.
