If there's one fashion item that many forget about, it's the modest belt. Fashion dictates that a great pair of jeans, a simple white shirt, and a blazer are style staples, but the belt is the one fashion accessory that ties the whole outfit together, creating definition and focus.
Three royal ladies are very aware of this accessory, though, and lately have been embracing the humble belt. Interestingly, the three women, who are all in their 40s, have chosen belts that are off-the-peg, not bespoke, meaning that the general public can invest in them.

Zara Tindall
On Saturday, Zara Tindall stole the show at the Ascot racecourse in Berkshire, looking poised and pristine in a heritage check blazer which she layered over a white pussy-bow blouse.

The mother-of-three expertly added a waist-defining belt from Fairfax & Favor over the top of her blazer, which cinched the look and rebalanced her proportions.

The daughter of Princess Anne's belt is known as the 'Sennowe' and is made from sustainably-sourced suede and leather in a striking chocolate brown - the colour of the season.

Prince Harry's wife chose a striking burgundy ensemble, brimming with pieces from the UK's best-loved brands. The former Suits star wore a burgundy wool and cashmere coat by luxury UK brand Joseph, layered over the label's matching Yara high-neck jumper.

The tonal separates were expertly paired with a fitted pencil skirt from royal-loved label The Fold, and we loved her bargain fashion eye - adding a £26 leather belt by Marks & Spencer. Known as the 'Leather Triple Keeper Jeans Belt', the classic style gave her look main character energy, tying the outfit together.
