STAVANGER, Norway (AP) — Just as soon as Michael Olise was shown his first yellow card, he got himself a second in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The referee was still holding the yellow card he’d shown Olise for a tactical foul to prevent a counter by Norwegian team Viking when the Bayern Munich forward tossed the ball he was holding at Viking captain Zlatko Tripic’s head.
That earned Olise a second booking in a matter of seconds, to cheers from the Norwegian home crowd, and put Bayern’s 3-2 lead over Viking in jeopardy.
Bayern had been 2-0 down before coming back into the game with two second-half goals in quick succession for Harry Kane, who scored for the ninth Champions League game in a row. Luis Diaz had put Bayern ahead with a third goal just before Olise was sent off.
