MOSCOW, October 16. /TASS/. External management for a range of companies from unfriendly countries and US President Donald Trump’s remarks about Vladimir Zelensky were among the key topics of Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov’s daily briefing on Friday.
TASS has summarized the Kremlin spokesman’s key statements
On the president’s schedule
Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold an international phone call this evening.
The introduction of external management for a number of companies from unfriendly countries that has taken place, can be described as a continuation of an existing trend: "This is a continuation of a trend. All those companies are from unfriendly countries, and their origin was one of the factors taken into account when the decision was made."
External management is being introduced primarily for companies from countries that are unfriendly in the full sense of the word, that are unlawfully holding Russian assets and expropriating Russian property: "This refers to countries that are participating in the unlawful holding of Russian funds, Russian assets, and are taking part in the unlawful expropriation of property belonging to Russian companies."
On Trump’s remarks about Zelensky
Russia shares US President Donald Trump’s assessment that Vladimir Zelensky is reluctant to take responsibility and pursue peace: "Zelensky’s reluctance to take responsibility and engage in peaceful settlement efforts is an obvious fact. We completely see eye-to-eye on this with President Trump."
Discussing a way out of the Ukraine conflict without the current Kiev regime would be impossible: "Even with all the desire, discussing anything without an operational Ukrainian leadership is impossible.".
