The Houston Texans made a big trade on Sunday, acquiring wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and a 2027 seventh-round pick from the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick.
While speaking to reporters, Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud made it clear that he is happy with the team's decision to trade for Harrison.
"I think he brings a dynamic playmaker," Stroud said. "Somebody who runs great routes, can catch really any ball. I loved him in college. He's probably the hardest worker I’ve ever been around in my life. And just who he is off the field, he’s a great dude, quiet guy, but definitely, you feel his presence. I’m excited to get him in here and get him learning and get him around the other guys. It’s perfect for him. I think fresh starts are good, so I’m excited to get him with us."

Hearing that Stroud is happy that the Texans acquired Harrison is not surprising. Stroud and Harrison were teammates together at Ohio State and had great chemistry on the field. Now, Stroud and Harrison will be looking to make an impact as teammates on the Texans.
With the Texans needing another wide receiver, it makes sense that they are taking a gamble on a young player like Harrison. Perhaps this move to Houston could help Harrison take that next step and blossom into a star.
In four games this season, Harrison has one touchdown, five receptions, and 85 receiving yards. It will be intriguing to see if reuniting with Stroud helps him hit a new level.
