KUALA LUMPUR: National Songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza shocked fans on social media after revealing minor facial injuries—just ahead of her highly anticipated Konsert Tradisional Gema Bumantara at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil tomorrow.
In a snapshot shared on her official Instagram account this afternoon, the country's top entertainer displayed a small cut near her right eye alongside visible bruising across her cheek.
"Bismillah, may everything be made easy. See you tomorrow, my dear Sitizoners!" she wrote in a brief caption accompanying the post, immediately sparking anxiety among her followers.
Many fans flooded the comments section with speculation that the injuries occurred during intense rehearsals leading up to the grand showcase.
The powerhouse vocalist is no stranger to daring performances.
During her Legacy 30 Siti Nurhaliza: Passion, Sincere and Love concert in January, the mother of two stunned attendees by performing her hit single Purnama Merindu while elevated on a crane, as well as performing a breathtaking high jump entrance from underneath the stage.
Reflecting on her upcoming show, Siti described the Gema Bumantara concert as a monumental milestone in an illustrious career spanning more than three decades.
She emphasised that the event was not just entertainment, acting as a crucial platform to unite champions of traditional tunes who continue to preserve the nation's musical heritage.
She added that having Malaysia's Queen of Traditional Pop, Noraniza Idris, as a guest artiste was essential.
The duo famously collaborated on the hit track Hati Kama from their joint 1999 album Seri Balas under Suria Records.
Alongside Noraniza Idris, Konsert Traditional Gema Bumantara will also feature rising traditional singer Haziq Rosebi, as well as Indonesian music stars King Nassar and Lesti Kejora.
