High Court Judge George Okello has declared George Musisi the duly elected MP for Kira Municipality after petitioner Daniel Kananura was granted leave to withdraw his election petition.
The High Court in Wakiso has declared George Musisi the duly elected Member of Parliament for Kira Municipality in the 12th Parliament.
The decision was made by High Court Judge George Okello following the court’s decision to grant Daniel Kananura leave to withdraw his petition challenging Musisi’s declaration as the winner of the parliamentary election.
The withdrawal brings the election dispute to an end, clearing the way for Musisi to take his place as the representative of Kira Municipality in the 12th Parliament.
