Kathmandu, Oct 11: The Ministry of Health and Food Security through Health Emergency Operation Centre has been continuously coordinating and monitoring the health sector response to the flash flood in the Budhigandaki river at Chumnubri rural municipality in Gorkha district.
Issuing a notice, the Health Ministry shared that the bodies concerned have been activated to ensure necessary health services, emergency treatment and health related assistance at the flood-affected areas.
The Health Emergency Operation Centre coordinating with province and local level bodies has been continuously monitoring the situation.
Similarly, the Gandaki Province Health Emergency and Information Centre, District Health Office Gorkha, Hub and Satellite Hospital and Local levels health coordinators have been asked to remain in contact and coordination continuously.
The concerned bodies have been kept standby to mobilize health workers, emergency treatment and other health assistance as per the need to ensure the continuity of health services at flood-hit areas, reads the notice.
The Ministry shared that one can call at free hotline number 1155 if essential health service or emergency treatment related assistance is needed at flood-affected areas. (RSS)
