Following Donald Trump’s narcissistic outbursts over South African judge Navi Pillay winning the Nobel Peace Prize, the former U.S. president has become the target of a wildly viral, blatantly fake AI-generated video.
Dressed as an overgrown toddler—complete with a McDonald's Happy Meal box and a oversized baby rattle—the clip posted by user _pulsoftoday on Instagram on Sunday has already amassed tens of thousands of views and over 50,000 comments.
If there were ever a single clip that captured the absolute epitome of "whining like a baby," this is undoubtedly it.
The satire hits particularly hard because it overlays the absurd visual with authentic audio of Trump insisting he was unfairly robbed of the prestigious award.
Trump’s Bitter Reaction to Pillay’s Nobel Peace Prize Win Highlights His Obsession with Status
"I never heard of this particular person, but congratulations anyway," Trump remarked, before launching into a classic grievance. "The United States of America, represented by me as your president, should have received the Nobel Peace Prize, but didn’t."
Given Trump’s notorious obsession with wealth and personal status, it undoubtedly rubbed salt in the wound that Pillay was awarded a cash prize of $1.2 million (roughly R19.8 million) alongside the title. The pure bitterness displayed over someone he seemingly deemed beneath him pocketing an amount that would otherwise be a drop in the ocean for a U.S. president was shocking.
Refusing to let the issue go, Trump lashed out at the committee itself, claiming, "The Nobel Peace Prize has been forever discredited by a handful of radical ideologues who are anti-democracy and really enemies of civilisation."
Pillay, however, handled the relentless tirade with effortless poise, delivering a brilliantly witty retort to the media: "If you clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump."
At 85 years old, Pillay boasts a towering human rights legacy. A former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, she served as a judge on the International Criminal Court and earned her place in history as South Africa’s very first non-white female High Court judge—making Trump's dismissive claims all the more ridiculous.
