KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested 29 men nationwide on suspicion of spreading propaganda on social media, including TikTok, linked to organisations declared illegal by the government.
The suspects, comprising 28 Malaysians and a foreigner aged between 18 and 49, were arrested during a three-day operation codenamed Op Mega TikTok 2026, conducted from Oct 10 to 12.
Federal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk M. Kumar said the operation was carried out in collaboration with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
