The Punjab government has approved another change to the dates of Basant 2027 in Lahore, moving the festival to March 12, 13 and 14, 2027.
According to Dunya News, the provincial cabinet approved a summary proposing the revised dates. The festival will allow kite flying across Lahore, subject to government regulations.
The latest decision changes the festival schedule once again as authorities prepare for Basant celebrations in the provincial capital.
Under the revised plan, residents will be able to celebrate Basant over three days in March 2027. However, kite flying will remain subject to the rules set by the authorities.
The festival’s revised schedule is expected to guide preparations for the celebrations across Lahore, including arrangements for regulated kite flying.
