De Rossi: “It was a balanced match until Castro’s masterpiece.”

Genoa boss Daniele De Rossi spoke to Sky Sport after the match lost against Roma.

“We accept Roma’s superiority even before the match, we even accept the result because that’s how we move forward. And we evaluate. There are many stronger teams, if we accepted losing to all of them, it would be serious.”

“Last year too, Roma were stronger than us and we won the return match, so matches have to be played. It was evenly balanced until 50 minutes, until Castro’s masterpiece. That goal made us drop a bit, it took away our confidence, but we stayed in the game until the end.”
