Riyadh – The French Embassy in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday urged its citizens to avoid the airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, amid ongoing Houthi attacks on the Kingdom.
"Given the security situation, French citizens are strongly advised against traveling to or transiting through King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, as well as King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam," the embassy said in a statement.
On Monday, the US Embassy in Riyadh announced that US government employees must obtain special authorization before using any airport in Saudi Arabia, expanding existing precautionary measures.
"US government employees working in Saudi Arabia must obtain special authorization to use any airport in the Kingdom," the embassy said in a statement.
It urged US citizens to "exercise extreme caution" when using Saudi airports, given the escalating security tensions.
These warnings come amid escalating Houthi attacks on Saudi airports, raising concerns about the impact of the escalation on air traffic and passenger safety.
