STILLWATER — Late Monday night, Eric Morris took a detour on his way home from Boone Pickens Stadium.
Morris drove through Oklahoma State’s campus. He wanted to see the preparations ahead of his first homecoming game as the Cowboys' head football coach.
OSU hosts Colorado on Saturday (6 p.m., FS1).
“Excited to see it later in the week,” Morris said Tuesday. “Happy it’s a night game to see Boone at night. They called it America’s Greatest Homecoming, right?”
Morris said he’s got a lot of family coming to Stillwater for the game. He’s focused on not letting all the festivities become a distraction.
“There’s a lot of commotion going on and I think it will be important to keep our guys focused on what’s going to make the finale of homecoming and make everybody go home happy that night, is us winning the game against a really good Colorado team,” Morris said.
Colorado leads the all-time series against OSU 27-20-1. The Buffaloes won the most recent 2024 matchup 52-0.
