Start With Exfoliation
It’s important to gently exfoliate your lips to clear any dead or flaky skin, for smoother lips that won’t impact the look of your lipstick.
Hydrate Your Lips
Matte lipsticks tend to settle into dry lines, so apply a hydrating balm and let it sit; then blot the excess to ensure the lipstick won’t slide.
Apply A Primer
If you have extremely chapped lips, use a primer to smooth out any lines and cracks for an even base that the lipstick can sit on.
Line It
Now, pick a liner of your choice to outline your pout. Fill in your lips with the liner to create a grippy base that will prevent fading.
Layer Your Lipstick
Apply it in thin layers, blot it to remove any excess and let it dry. Now, apply a second layer similarly to achieve a lasting matte look.
Set It
Use a fluffy brush to dab on translucent powder and set your lipstick, after which you can apply a final coat of your matte colour for an irresistible pout.
