Final count for the first World Series game in Milwaukee in 44 years: 43,250 fans.
That's more than a full house. American Family Field only has 41,900 seats. Standing-room-only tickets were available for the World Series, so it seems about 1,350 fans opted for those.
The Brewers hosted Tampa Bay Rays on Oct. 23 in the best-of-seven series.
The attendance figure shows the fans' passion given the costly sticker prices for entry. Resale websites had some tickets still going for $2,338 just minutes before Game 1 started – the figure is highest price in MLB history by over $500.
During the regular season, the Milwaukee Brewers averaged 34,431 fans across 81 home games. In total, American Family Field saw 2,788,933 guests in the regular season, according to ESPN. Out of 30 MLB teams, the Brewers had the 11th highest attendance this year.
