After weeks of rumors, it was confirmed back in April at the Hulu Get Real House event that an Orange County-set Mormon Wives spin-off was—for better or for worse—in the works. Six months later, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County finally has a premiere date, a trailer, and an official cast...which is sliiiightly different than the cast that was initially announced. And yes, there is drama surrounding it.

When does The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County premiere?
SLOMW: OC will premiere on November 12, and Hulu announced the news with a new teaser introducing the ladies, including OG Mormon Wife Jen Affleck.
However! Fans were quick to notice that one cast member was seemingly swapped without explanation, which brings us to...
Who is in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County cast?
Back in April when the news first dropped, Hulu introduced eight women as part of the spinoff cast: Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Bobbi Althoff, Salomé Andrea, McCall DaPron, Ashleigh Pease, Madison Bontempo, and Chandler Higginson.
And while Jen was rumored to be a part of the cast, no one seemed to know why she wasn’t also in attendance...including the other cast members.
After some confusion, MomTok OG Jen hopped on TikTok a few days later and posted a video with the new Mormon Wives, seemingly confirming that she was part of the cast as well. “Coming to @hulu 2026 !!! @secretlivesonhulu,” she captioned the video.
She later told Us Weekly in August 2026 that she “almost wasn’t even part of the OC show” amid mental health struggles with her fourth pregnancy. “I was like, ‘You know what? Maybe I need to take a step back,’” Jen said. “But I felt honestly within me that I needed to share this time.”
And now there has been another addition to the cast, while someone else was removed. The September 30 cast teaser from Hulu includes a new mom named Jordan McClanahan...but doesn’t include Chandler Higginson.
Though it’s not clear why Hulu made the swap, Chandler did seemingly respond to the exclusion by tweaking her Instagram bio (it now reads “@secretlivesonhulu??? 🤪”) and posting an Instagram Story with lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero,” per Vulture.
Oh, and in response to a fan post about the switch-up, Chandler’s husband Dylan Higginson commented, “There is ALOT to be said, we will share soon.”
Here’s hoping someone spills the tea soon!!!
What will The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County be about?
Filmed throughout the spring and summer of 2026, season 1 of SLOMW: OC will definitely include Jen’s fourth pregnancy news...but what other drama can we expect?
Sneaky fans caught the cast filming at Bobbi Althoff’s Netflix Is a Joke comedy fest appearance back in May, where a tragic twerk-off took place:
Per McCall DaPron’s Instagram, the crew also filmed at the Virgin Hotels LV Resort in Vegas back in June, where Mayci Neeley (who, btw, is McCall’s sister) and Mikayla Matthews were in attendance...as was Chandler. Awkward!
As far as mama drama, I can only imagine that Aspyn Ovard’s polyamorous throuple with married couple Bri and Billy Davis will be a major plot point—but time will tell.
