NIA upgrades Bohol dam to nearly double water storage

TAGBILARAN CITY—The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) is upgrading the Malinao Dam in Pilar, Bohol, to nearly double its water storage capacity, improve irrigation services for farmers and strengthen flood protection for downstream communities. The P1.8-billion Malinao Dam Improvement Project (MDIP) aims to increase the reservoir’s capacity from 5 million cubic meters to about 9 million
