Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health plans to acquire three pharmacy businesses in Reidsville, N.C., expanding its retail pharmacy footprint and adding long-term care pharmacy services.
The agreement includes Carolina Apothecary, Belmont Pharmacy and Rx Care, which have served Rockingham County residents for decades. The deal is expected to close in early 2027, pending regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
The businesses will become Cone Health Community Pharmacy locations, offering closer coordination between pharmacists and healthcare providers, competitive medication pricing and onsite vaccinations.
“Bringing these great pharmacies into our fold strengthens our ability to deliver connected, patient-centered care in Rockingham County,” Kristen Kruszewski, PharmD, chief pharmacy officer at Cone Health, said in an Oct. 22 news release. “This will make it easier for patients to get the care and support they need close to home while building on the trusted legacy these organizations have established in the community.”
