ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is the final verifying authority in Pakistan for attestation of various document such as personal and educational.
The process involves an official seal and signature from an authorized ministry official and serves as a mandatory step in the legalization of documents for use abroad.
Apostille attestation in Pakistan is an international document authentication process issued by MOFA that enables public documents to be recognized in more than 120 countries that are members of the 1961 Hague Convention.
It eliminates the need for traditional, multi-step embassy or consulate verification for documents intended for use in participating countries, including the UK, the US, Germany and Gulf nations.
